Questions, answered

The things people ask before they walk a dock.

Buying a boat shouldn't feel like a guessing game. Here's the straight talk on financing, service, slips, trade-ins, and what it's like to deal with a family-owned marina that's been at this since 1974.

Buying a boat

Do I need to know exactly what I want before I come in?

Not at all. Most people walk the dock first and figure it out from there. Tell our team how you spend time on the water and who's coming with you, and we'll point you toward the boats that actually fit. No pressure, no rush.

Can I see a boat on the water before I buy it?

Yes. We'd rather you feel the boat under you than guess from a brochure. Ask about a sea trial and we'll set you up on the lake closest to you.

Do you sell pre-owned boats too?

We do. Alongside our new lineup we keep a hand-picked pre-owned floor, and every used boat gets gone over before it earns a spot on our dock.

What brands do you carry?

Pardo Yachts, Nautique, Sea Ray, Monterey, De Antonio, Premier, and Harris, plus our hand-picked pre-owned selection. If you're after something specific, ask and we'll tell you straight whether it's a fit.

Financing

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We work with specialized marine lenders and handle the whole thing from one desk. We'll walk you through the numbers before you ever sign anything. See our financing page for the full picture.

Is a boat loan the same as a car loan?

No, and that's good news for your monthly payment. Marine loans often run much longer than auto loans, which can keep the payment comfortable. We break it all down on our financing page.

Will getting pre-qualified hurt my credit?

No. Getting pre-qualified is a soft credit check, so it won't affect your score. It just gives you a real number to plan around before you fall for a boat.

How much should I plan to put down?

It varies by boat and lender, but many buyers land somewhere between 10% and 30% down. Try our payment calculator to see how the down payment changes the monthly, then we'll firm up the real figures together.

Trade-ins & selling

Do you take trade-ins?

We do. Bring your current boat by for a trade valuation and we'll roll it into your next one. It's often the simplest way to upgrade without juggling two boats.

Can you help me sell my boat even if I'm not buying?

Yes. We handle consignment and can take your boat on to sell on your behalf. Our team will talk you through what your boat is worth and how the process works.

Service & support

Do you service the boat after I buy it?

Always. Service is on the property at every marina, and the person who sold you the boat is on the dock the next Saturday too. We don't disappear after the sale.

Do you come to my slip?

We can. We run three mobile service boats that meet you right in your slip on weekends in season, so you don't have to give up a day on the water to get something handled.

Do you work on boats you didn't sell?

Yes. Our certified techs service all kinds of boats, not just the ones that came off our floor. Give the location nearest you a call and we'll get you on the schedule.

Do you carry parts and accessories?

We do. Our ship stores stock the gear, parts, and on-the-water essentials you actually reach for, so you can grab what you need without leaving the dock.

Marina & slips

Can I keep my boat in your marina?

Yes. We have 432 slips across our locations, plus dry storage. Annual and seasonal options are available, so ask the location closest to your water about what's open.

Do you have dry storage?

We do, alongside our covered slips. If you'd rather have your boat out of the water between trips, our team will set you up with the right spot.

Do you offer rentals or rent-to-buy?

At select locations, yes. Renting is a great way to spend real time on a boat before you commit, and our rent-to-buy program lets some of that time count toward owning one.

Locations & visiting

Where are you located?

Six docks across two states: Grand Lake (Thunder Bay), Tulsa (Catoosa), Beaver Lake (Rocky Branch and Prairie Creek), Lake Eufaula, and Carlton Landing. Each one has its own slips, service, and team.

Do I need an appointment to come look?

Nope. You're welcome to walk a dock anytime we're open. If you'd like someone to walk it with you or set up a sea trial, give us a call ahead and we'll have the right person ready.

Is there food on site?

At Grand Lake, yes. Ugly's Grill & Bar sits right at Thunder Bay, so you can make a whole afternoon of it, on the water and off.

The company

How long have you been around?

Since 1974. We've spent five decades getting Oklahoma and Arkansas families onto the water, and a lot of those families are now on their second and third boat with us.

Are you family-owned?

We are. This is a family-run marina, not a chain, and it shows in the way the same faces are on the dock season after season. When you buy here, you're dealing with people who'll still be here next summer.

Still have a question?

The fastest answer is a real conversation. Call the dock nearest you, or come walk one in person.
